Terms of use

signhere is a free service for having PDF documents signed with a finger via a link. By creating a signing link you accept these terms.

What we provide

signhere provides the technology: upload, signing link, signature on a phone, merging into the PDF, optional ID copy, password protection and certificate page. The result is a simple electronic signature (SES) under eIDAS, not a qualified signature (QES). Whether an SES is sufficient for your document is for you to check.

Your obligations

You only upload documents you have the rights to, and you only request ID copies with a legitimate purpose. You provide a valid email address so the finished PDF can be delivered to you. Abuse, such as harvesting other people's data, forging signatures or circumventing protections, is prohibited and leads to deletion of the documents and a block.

Storage and deletion

Documents are kept only as long as needed: unsigned documents 7 days, signed documents without an account 24 hours, with Pro one year, documents with an ID copy 7 days. You can delete your document at any time from the status page. Save the finished PDF yourself before it is deleted.

Inspection by the operator

To keep the service running and to check for abuse, the operator may inspect uploaded documents. An AI service (Anthropic, Claude) may be used to summarise a document in one sentence without reproducing personal data. Access to this is restricted to the operator and protected by a password and a second factor. Details are in the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

signhere is offered free of charge without any promise of availability. We are liable only for intent and gross negligence and as required by mandatory law. We give no warranty for the legal effect of a signed document in an individual case.

Advertising and premium

The free service is funded by advertising. For companies we offer premium services on request under separate agreements.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. Austrian law applies. Provider and contact: see the legal notice.
